Surge protectors are quite an important household item, as they safeguard your electronic devices from the voltage spikes. BITS Limited, maker of energy saving surge protectors, will introduce its True Surge Smart Strip surge protector at the 2013 International CES. The company was named an International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its True Surge Power Squid last year. The True Surge Smart Strip, unlike other surge protectors on the shelves, disconnects power to all devices completely in the event of a surge.
The True Surge technology helps prevent surge protectors from catching on fire and avoids damages to your devices. It also limits energy wastage by getting rid of the standby power used by plugged-in electronics, thereby cutting down on monthly electricity bills. The True Surge Smart Strip surge protector, priced between $29.95 and $45.95, will be made available in March 2013 in six different models.
