Australian artist and designer Fiona Roberts’ creations are tactile and faintly haunting, and the Scopophilia chair is no exception. For the Scopophilia (which translates to “the love of looking”) Fiona Roberts has fixed hundreds of obsolete plastic eyeballs into the red upholstered chair. To bring in more spookiness, the designer has folded the fabric upholstery a number of times to create the red eyelids for every eyeball on the chair. An unusual work of art, the Scopophilia chair is sure to make the sitter feel uncomfortable all the time while being watched by the eerie eyes all the time.
