Created by multidisciplinary designer Sam Stringleman from Wellington, New Zealand, this coffee table is an upshot of further exploration into surface that started with his previously designed Fall Off table that combined edginess with a digital biology. The basic idea behind the coffee table is that the support material is to be added only when it’s needed, thereby making for a dynamic and unique surface pattern on the table. Users can place the hexagonal tiles on the cells on the coffee table according to their needs and the size of the objects you want to place on the table.
Hexagons can clustered together to form pot stands or extra coasters. The coffee table also has a removal system that lets you push down in a select corner of the tile to raise the other corner for easy and fast removal.
