West London based multidisciplinary design studio DeGross Design & Innovation keeps its focus on maximizing the use of raw materials and minimizing the waste while designing cost-effective and sustainable products. The Utrem Lux by DeGross is a series of lamps made from reused glass bottles discarded behind the studio and wood offcuts provided by the next-door neighbors, W. Hanson wood merchants. Each Utrem Lux sustainable lamp is handmade and enjoys a unique character.
Launched last year’s Designersblock in Southbank centre as a part of London Design Festival, the Utrem Lux lamp collection explores the possibilities of creating useful and aesthetic design from reused materials.
