Ferruccio Laviani’s Good Vibrations storage unit will blow your mind

Good Vibrations by Ferruccio Laviani

At the first glance, you might think there is some problem with the image pictured above. But, that’s not true. The image is very much fine and the furniture piece in question is the Good Vibrations, which has been designed by furniture designer Ferruccio Laviani. The mind-boggling storage unit has been hand carved in such a way that it appears to be completely distorted. The unusual piece is part of Ferruccio Laviani’s home interior collection for Italy’s Fratelli Boffi and will be shown at the 2013 Furniture Exhibition.

The Good Vibrations storage unit typifies new design philosophy and the synchronized union of the languages and cultures it is based upon. The deformed and disorienting design of the storage unit is based on the ancient knowledge in the use of carving and fine wood workmanship. It would have been great if there were some more images from different angles or a 360-degrees video of the Good Vibrations storage unit.
