Furniture units with some multimedia capabilities have always been of my interest, and the kaikuuu01 is no exception. Designed by Teemu Kurkela, Martti Mela and Päivi Meuronen, the kaikuuu01 combines a table, a loudspeaker and a radio in one sleek unit. The first piece in the “kaikuuu” furniture series, the wireless music streaming table features a special device under the glass, which lets the surface produce the sound. You can listen to your favorite radio channel or stream music wirelessly from your iPhone. The kaikuuu01 table allows Apple’s AirPlay-compatible music streaming.
Priced at $5,800, the kaikuuu01 table has an integrated AM/FM radio tuner and a mini plug for wired music listening. The power cord of the table connects to a 230V wall socket.
