New York based Cristina Grajales Gallery, specializing in 20th century and contemporary design, will be hosting Material Transformation (Nov 8,2012 – Jan 25, 2013), the second solo exhibition of furniture and lighting designer Christophe Côme. Côme, based in Paris, is famous for his sculptural furniture and lighting created with manipulation of industrial materials. The exhibit Material Transformation will include elegant furniture and lighting units, which include cabinets, screens, and coffee tables.
The collection will also display hand-glazed tiles, colored glass, enameled copper and gilded wood integrated into the handcrafted wrought iron forms. Côme’s work carries a distinctive style of elegance combined with a fresh outlook.
