Minimalist Drift Stool hides a beer bottle in its secret compartment

Born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, designer and artist Theo Pinto creates unique works of art with a strong focus on sustainability. One of his interesting designs, the Drift Stool, has been made with driftwood found on the shores of the Baltimore Harbor. The ingeniously designed sleek stool even has a concealed compartment that holds a bottle of Natty Boh (National Bohemian Beer, Baltimore’s signature beer). With the Drift Stool, the designer aims to send across the green message of creating new designs from recyclable materials. The Drift Stool was showcased at the Contemporary International Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, NY in 2011.

Theo Pinto is currently doing his majors in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design from the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark.
