Internationally acclaimed designer Karim Rashid has now designed the elegant and unique “Nafir” suspended lamp for Axo Light. Nafir is a small trumpet of Arab origin and the very name was chosen for the new collection to recall the lamp’s shape and pay regards to the North African origins of the designer. The Nafir collection includes single or triple suspended lamps in white injected polycarbonate and is available in exterior chrome/interior white, exterior white/interior gold and exterior white/interior white color schemes.
In an exclusive interview with Axo Light art director Lorenzo Truant, Karim Rashid said that the Nafir is pure imagination and every user is sure to see and experience Nafir in a truly unique way. Whether on or off, Nafir lamp asks for attention with its inimitable make. It’s a functional sculpture and the fluid shape is reminiscent of the expression of the light itself.
