Hands are often considered the lifeline of an analog clock, which rotates with each passing moment to keep the timepiece alive or in motion. Changing the basic configuration of the conventional clocks, the US-based designer Matthew Lechowick has come up with a radical wall clock that removes hands to become a piece of art for trendy homes. Hailed as “Reveal Clock,” artistic timepiece presents a clean design to tell time alone with its face.
Featuring two spheres, outer measuring 30-inch and inner 18-inch in diameter, the Reveal Clock integrates 72 small wooden pieces, 60 depicting and 12 indicating hours, to tell the time. The artistic clock pops out two pieces, one on outer circle to depict hour and the other on inner circle to show minute, simultaneously to let users read time with minimum fuss.
Running on 120 volt power, the clock controls the linear actuators of all (72) pieces through a controller located in the middle of the unit. In short, the Reveal Clock presents a simple design to tell the time in an artistic manner.
