Designed by Felipe Ramajo Aráez for Philips, the Senseo Social coffee machine was born out of the need for a compact solution that will let users serve one cup or a larger quantity of coffee instantly using lose ground coffee of their choice or Senseo pods. The design of coffee maker puts forth a new social ritual around coffee through the removable tray and pod expositor. Designed for sharing, the Senseo Social coffee machine uses Senseo technology and features a drip filter machine. It can serve six cups of freshly brewed coffee in around 2 minutes. The three standard Senseo pod holders offer three different flavors at once to suit your personal preference.
The redesigned pod holder handle was found to improve the usability. The coffee outflow unit comprises two parts – top coffee outflow unit and the Coffee outflow unit. The Pod expositor, which is attached to the tray, enhances the social experience. Pressing the On/Off button on the Senseo Social for three seconds resets the machine.
