Safavieh, the firm famous for its finest collections of antique rugs, is now celebrating London Olympics at its Las Vegas Market showroom with a range of home furnishings. On Aug. 3, the closing day of market and the London 2012 Games, Safavieh will award a set of Union Jack decorative pillows in a random draw. They are also running a Facebook contest simultaneously and will award a set of British flag pillows. Other than the pillows, they have a beautiful hand-knotted rug made from strips of red, tan and blue woven wool carpeting. The hand-knotted rug is part of the Spice Market collection.
Another Union Jack product from the house of Safavieh is the steamer-style Britannia storage trunk, which has the motif printed on hemp fabric that’s decorated with leather trim and finished with pewter rivets. The Britannia storage trunk will sell for around $716. You can use it as an end table or combine two of them to create a coffee table. They also have the Bolton Recliner, which you would love to relax in while watching the games. It bears the flag applique on its back cushion. Another highlight from the Safavieh’s Union Jack collection is the Loxwood Ottoman, which comes in antiqued leather.
The $382 Union Jack cube has been done in a blend of cotton and polyester. Safavieh’s new pillow collection has given the British Flag a stylish makeover. While one version flaunts stripes of fringed red denim and white finely woven linen, the other comes with stripes of burlap sack cloth in natural hemp and fringed blue denim cotton fabric.
