Spanish company Skate-Home, run by husband and wife duo of Manuel Llorens and Maria Tamarit, creates stunning home furniture pieces made with skateboards. Inspired by skateboarding and interior design, the team of skaters and designers at the company build different types of furniture and home accessories based on the skateboarding world, including mirrors, armchairs, shelves, hangers, lighting fixtures and stools. During the design process, they make a sketch of the idea and then create the first prototype using design software. If it turns out impressive, they put it into production.
The product names are inspired by the tricks performed with the skateboard, such as Flip, Nollie or Indy. They have once office in Valencia, Spain and the other in Marseille, France. The Skate-Home creations are made of Canadian maple original skateboards.
