At this year’s Hotel Show in Dubai, Oliver Kessler Design exhibited a bespoke version of its famous luxury ceiling fan, The Solitaire Punkah. Dubbed “The Ostrich Arabian Crystal,” the luxury fan features 24 black ostrich feathers and comes festooned with more than 21,000 genuine Swarovski crystals. The Ostrich Arabian Crystal fan has been designed as a tribute to the Gulf region. Oliver Kessler Design also showcased “The Sensu Punkah,” an affordable version of the relaxing swinging fan.
A symbol of luxury and wealth, Punkah (translates to fan in Hindi) has been used since ages in the palaces of Egyptian Pharaohs and Indian Maharajas. The Solitaire Punkah brings back the grandeur of olden times with its slow pendular movement and creates a relaxing atmosphere. Other than the Solitaire Punkah, Oliver Kessler Design also presented the final version of the Vincerò bedside table lamp that is made from partly frosted crystal-clear acrylics and is powered by powerful white LEDs.
