Actor Brad Pitt is now a high-end furniture designer

The latest and hottest news in the furniture industry is that actor Brad Pitt has now joined hands with New Jersey-based furniture designer Frank Pollaro to create a high-end furniture collection for a luxury design house. The 48-year-old actor-turned-furniture designer cited that he had been sketching ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990s, when he discovered Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright. The whole idea of a new furniture line was born after Frank discovered Hollywood hunk’s amazing drawings of furniture designs.

Brad Pitt has collaborated with Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, Pierre Chareau and Paul Dupre-Lafon to design Art Nouveau and Art Deco inspired furniture collection, which will include about a dozen pieces.  The line includes limited edition bed with a glossy tropical hardwood frame, a dining table, a cocktail table, side tables with a metal base finished with 24K gold, club chairs and a bathtub for two that’s done in Statuario Venato marble. The initial designs will come signed by Pitt and Pollaro.
