Primarily designed for use in library, the Book Chair by designer Chen Liu looks to be a great addition to your kids’ room or any playful space. Designed like a book, the low chair has been done in a mix of colors that add an energetic, fun touch to the design. The Book Chair is based on the original element of a book, including the pages, layers and the way you open a book. Considering the scale of the book, Chen Liu has cut the pages to create positive and negative shape in two sides to fit the body.
The material used to make this 26″ × 26″ × 5.5″ version of the Book low chair is yoga mats, but the designer intends to make another version using felt.
