Designed by Dallas-based architecture, interiors and furniture design studio OFFICIAL, Droid Stool enjoys a fun design inspired by the Star Wars: Droids. The Official Droid Stool stands stylishly on three stout, brightly colored legs. Its maker Mark Leveno was in Hong Kong when he realized that electronics, stylish shoes and Star Wars could no longer be kept apart. As a result, the Droid Stool came into existence. The robotic character of the Droid has been suggested by the geometric upholstered seat on three legs.
Made with steel, wood, foam and mesh, the Droid Stool was exhibited in the Fuori Salon of the Milan Design Library as part of the Milan Furniture Fair in 2012. Future iterations of Droid will be made in a variety of materials, including anodized aluminum and perforated leather.
