Hyperion Lamp offers an artistic and practical design for modern homes

Hyperion Lamp by Paul Heijnen

Of late, we have seen vast experimentation with home lighting to give a whole new look to contemporary interiors. Experimenting with home lighting, designer Paul Heijnen has come up with a mechanical lamp called the “Hyperion” that looks more like a robotic intact or sculpture than a home lighting.

Essentially a compressed version of a 6m steel model, which was developed as an astronomical observatory to laser scan and spotlight buildings in the island of Capri, the Hyperion Lamp is made using CNC-cut ProFi Deck (a wood-plastic composite) and assembled with hands to give it an artistic look. Offering a great potential for endless adjustment, the Hyperion Lamp presents a unique as well as practical design for the ease of use.
