Based on the train compartments of the Orient Express, the “Il Treno” by Tjep is a compact dining compartment that offers a private table for two, while providing adequate storage for your dining cutlery. Featuring the structure finished in Ash or Oak wood, together with steel structural support elements, the modular dining table allows a private dining space to encourage intimacy and romanticism among the users.
Presented at Plusdesign gallery during Milan Design Week 2013, the Il Treno by the Dutch studio can also be shaped like other old steam train carriages of the orient express, according to the needs or liking of individual users. The Il Treno dining table lets you experience the luxury of a fine dinner on a train compartment, as users can move it easily within the home.
