Recollecting the memories of childhood, American designer Sean Davies has come up with an atmospheric lamp that presents a natural stippled light and brings a soothing effect to your place. Dubbed as “Lamp X,” the creative light offers a unique blend of natural and artificial.
Carved out of the textured Strathmore fastened by sewing snaps, the atmospheric lamp makes use of Sketchup plug-ins to achieve the leveled form and lasercut the sheets, while the tabs are created with the help of the Grasshopper in Rhino to reclaim the structure. Wrapping the bulb inside the dappled form, the Lamp X throws the illumination as if filtering the natural light through leaning trees in woodlands.
Ideal for both homes and workspaces, the Lamp X breaches the physical attributes of a space and takes you to a sensory, harmonious and emotional state. Apart from reliving past experiences to kindle a calming effect, the evocative lamp also gives a whole new dimension to the home decor.
