The table lamps and table lights created by task lamp specialist Anglepoise are true British design classics. At the upcoming Maison&Objet show in Paris, Anglepoise will be introducing extended color palette for its Giant1227 floor lamp, which is a triple-scale version of the iconic Anglepoise Original1227 lamp designed by automotive engineer George Carwardine in 1934. Originally created as a one-off commission for the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, the Giant1227 was put into production in 2004. Perfectly complementing the Classic, Tranquil and Vivid interior styles, the Anglepoise Giant1227 floor lamp has now received a new color palette and custom finishes are available on request.

The beautiful floor lamp uses Anglepoise constant tension spring technology and flaunts powder coated cast aluminum shade, arms and joints, stainless steel fittings and solid cast aluminum base. Priced at £2280 (€3100), the Giant1227 floor lamp comes with a bulb and a dimmer, and will be available starting Feb. 1, 2013.
