Born out of the idea to create a lightweight floating light, the minimalist and inviting Mandalight by Michou van Gennip comes flat packed and can transform into different shapes. The pendant light draws inspiration from the otherworldly light emission of Thai floating lanterns and fireflies. The Mandalight enjoys a beautiful wire structure crafted from bronze, stainless steel and copper, and features small LED lights. You can expand the Mandalight pendant light up to 1.30 meters and reduce its size to less than 20 cm.
With the help of a remote or by changing the size of the structure, the users can adjust the intensity of light according to their liking. The Mandalight by Michou van Gennip is currently on display at the Graduation12 show at Design Academy Eindhoven during Dutch Design Week 2012.
