Nowadays, many designers are using cork to create unique, eco friendly objects. Deisgned in Portugal by André Valério for Ervilha Criativa, the Passa Cabos cork table lamp is inspired by ferrets, domesticated mammals of the type Mustela putorius furo, which were trained to lay power cables inside ducts. André Valério cites that the Passa Cabos cork lamp aims to explore the approach of objects and animals to humans in everyday life. The Passa Cabos, priced at €95, uses an E14/11W bulb and comes with a natural linen cord set.
