Created by Brendan Keim, who enjoys a high-end design background, the RGBW lamp works on the fact that the red, green, and blue light combine to reproduce the white lighting. Using the same as the concept or this lamp, Brendan has used a lamp controller with three angled facets at its base, each giving R, G or B. When this controller is in the standing position, the three facets combine R, G and B to create W (the white light). On the other hand, when the controller is leaned to the angled facet, it outputs the corresponding color.
The colored light works the opposite way when compared with the pigment, where red, green and blue combine together to form the black color. The designer has used Xbee to add radio communication to Arduino and make the thing wireless. The RGBW lamp is a playful creation and is sure a conversation starter.
