Blending form with function, the Rising Side Table by architectural designer Robert van Embricqs is the newest addition to his Rising Furniture line. The basic concept of the Rising Furniture is to transform a flat surface into a stylish furniture piece for contemporary home décor. A truly functional piece of furniture with a unique twist, the Rising Side Table has its top made from a single piece of wood. Interestingly, the ingenious construction choices make it look like a levitating tabletop.
Another highlight of the Rising Side Table is the startling fluid design they have created with the wooden beams that keep intact the tabletop. Each beam has been twisted a little around its axis to form an unending wave like motion, which is sure to attract attention at the first glance. To add to all, the table has been made using a special new hinge system, which makes the table lightweight and aesthetically pleasing.
