Tuftit by Partisans offers a new take on furniture design

Founded by Alex Josephson and Pooya Baktash, Toronto based design house Partisans came into existence after the financial meltdown in 2010. From architecture to interior and industrial design, Partisans works on a range of projects. One of the design studio’s major achievements is Tuftit, a new kind of fabrication program that has the capability to give any material a prominent makeover. Tuftit is an innovative take on tufted leather furniture. Partisans has developed and patented a computer language that can change any material, ranging from wood to foam to marble, into amazing pieces of custom furniture.

The new shape looks like tufted leather, but is more organic and diverse. The novel fabrication program can be used to make chairs, benches and other unique furniture pieces. Tufted furniture is available on order from Partisans.
