Yanik Balzer and Max Kuwertz of the Köln International School of Design create brilliant whimsical pieces of furniture for homes and the Axe Shelf is a perfect example. Interestingly, you do not need a hammer and nails to hang this shelf on the wall. Instead, you simply need to find the space on your walls and attack with the Axe Shelf as if you are taking down two zombies at a time. Anyway, I am just concerned about finding the studs and the patchwork if things go wrong. While some would call it brilliant, other could simply take the Axe shelf to be one of the dumbest ideas.
