For those who think that the best way to make a pizza is inside a traditional wood-fired pizza oven, but don’t have the money or space to get themselves a big brick oven, here comes the compact, lightweight, fast and affordable wood-burning Uuni pizza oven. Designed by London based pizza lover Kristian Tapaninaho, Uuni pizza oven can easily fit inside the smallest of kitchens and it makes you a pizza in less than three minutes. The Uuni pizza oven weighs 7kg and measures a mere 12 x 36 x 48 cm, which means you can even fit it inside a standard carry-on flight case.
Finnish-born Kristian Tapaninaho says that he developed Uuni after realizing about one year ago that he will have to move from his rented house one day leaving behind his wood-fire oven. Since traditional wood-fired pizza ovens are very large and costly, he set out to design a viable alternative, the Uuni.
Kristian Tapaninaho is currently running a funding campaign for his wood-fired Uuni pizza oven at Kickstarter. The interested may pre-order the Uuni right now, with the delivery scheduled for March 2013.
