At this year’s IMM Cologne, German furniture manufacturer Zeitraum unveiled a special edition of its Morph chair for the first time. Designed in collaboration with interior designer Friederike Klesper, the Zeitraum Morph Edition comprises of three Morph chairs that come printed with different motifs. The images on the Zeitraum Morph Edition chairs originate from Chinese posters dating from the 1920s. These prints, like tattoos, narrate stories and bestow the chairs with a unique character.
The Morph Edition is limited to a run of 100 units per motif. The Morph chair itself exudes lightness and is instantly adaptable as a sophisticated object in a contemporary setting. Zeitraum makes unique, contemporary pieces from hardwoods, mainly beech, oak, maple, cherry and walnut. Friederike Klesper has been working for years in order prints embedded in wood and other materials.
